Vitamin supplements may not help men's hearts

»  Comments | Post a Comment

While most adults have taken a vitamin supplement, new evidence shows it might not be helping their heart.

Researchers in Boston studied thousands of men over the age of 50. Half took vitamin "E" and "C" supplements, the other half took placebo pills.

The researchers found those taking the vitamins did not have a lower risk for heart disease.

One concerning finding, some of the men taking vitamin "E" had an increased risk for stroke.
