Teenager dies after shooting in Botetourt Co. home

A 17-year-old male was found shot in a Botetourt Co. home and was later pronounced dead at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

A 17-year-old male was found shot in a Botetourt Co. home late Saturday night.
The Botetourt Co. Sheriff's Office say they received a call from State Police around 11:30 p.m. about a shooting at a home.
When they arrived at the scene they found a 17-year-old male in an upstairs bedroom with a gun shot wound to the head.
He was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m.
The Botetourt Co. Sheriff's Office say the 17-year-old was at a Blue Ridge pizza restaurant earlier Saturday night with a female.
There exact relationship is not known.
The two reportedly returned to the boy's home together after an argument, and that's when the girl says she heard gun shots and called police.
No names are being released at this time.
A police investigation is pending the results of the Medical Examiner.
