Vinton hires a new town manager.
Town leaders chose Christopher Lawrence for the job. Lawrence is currently the Assistant to the Town Manager in Blacksburg.
Lawrence will take office at the end of September. Vinton town chose Lawrence from a pool of 40 candidates.
Lawrence earned a Bachelors degree in Public and Urban Affairs, as well as a Masters degree in Public Administration from Virginia Tech.
