Roanoke police investigate drug store robbery

Roanoke police are investigating a drug store robbery. It happened just after 6 on Monday, December 1 at the Super-D Drug Store. That's located in the 400 block of 9th Street. Three employees tell police a while man walked inside the store wearing a dark-colored stocking cap and scarf around his face. The suspect told the employees he had a gun. Police say the man tried to take several bottles of medicine from behind the counter, but two employees fought back. Police say the suspect eventually ran away without taking anything.
