Roanoke County SWAT teams were in an 8-hour standoff with Bryan Valentine on Saturday after Valentine refused to cooperate with police that were serving warrant and Emergency Protective Order. Here, Sgt. J. Matze detailed the actions SWAT members go through during such events.
Valentine is being held at the Roanoke County-Salem Jail without bond. In addition an assault and battery charge, police are charging Valentine with obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct. Police say he could face more charges.
