We have more details in the shooting that killed a local high school senior.

Police say 17-year-old Mitchell Simmons was killed Monday night after his younger brother, who went to high school with him, accidentally shot him.

Police tell 10 On Your Side the younger brother came into the room at their house with the rifle to talk to his older brother about what kind of accessories they could get for their dad for Christmas.

Investigators say it still appears to be an accident, and as of right now no charges will be filed.
