Three-year-old Jaylynn Thorpe was found Saturday afternoon by Angel Search and Rescue of Danville.
10 On Your Side's Candice Nelson says the toddler was found about one-half mile away from his home sitting on a log at a pond.
He had two puppies with him that belong to a family member.
250-300 people from North Carolina and Virginia joined the search and rescue effort.
The Halifax County Sheriff's Office says he will be taken to the hospital to be examined but looks to be in good condition.

The missing three year old was last seen wearing a red long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and cowboy boots. He may also be wearing a camouflage jacket. So far tonight there have been no sightings. His babysitter was the last person to see him this afternoon.
75 to 100 people are searching with more people on the way to help. Rescue crews are traveling from as far away as Richmond to help in the search. A state police helicopter and search dogs are also a part of the search.
Police say they will continue to search through the night and are not exactly sure how we wandered off.

10 On Your Side has confirmed that the Halifax County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing three year-old-child.
They say the child wandered away from a community off Buckshoal Road near South Boston.
Helicopters, tracking dogs, along with search and rescue teams are out looking for the child.
