Police investigate an attempted robbery at a local Wal Mart.
It happened around 6:15 Sunday morning at the Rocky Mount Wal Mart.
Rocky Mount Police tell us a woman asked a cashier for help getting a drink, pointed a folding knife at the cashier and told her to open the register.
They say when the cashier went to get help, the woman ran off with the drink but no money.
