FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Fairfax County police say a man was robbed
when he stopped to help someone lying in the road in the 2200 block
of Hungtinton Avenue in Fairfax.
Police say the 41-year-old man stopped his car in the 2200 block
of Hungtinton Avenue after 2 a.m. Thursday to check on a man lying
in the road. The victim was confronted by a man with a handgun, and
the man in the road stood up. Both demanded money from the victim.
After the man gave up his money, one of the robbers kicked him
in the stomach, then fled in a car driven by a third person.
The victim was taken to Inova Alexandria Hospital.
