Update: Man found dead inside burning home

»  Comments | Post a Comment

We're learning more about a man found dead inside a burning house in Martinsville.
The fire marshal says preliminary results from an autopsy show Charles Uram died from smoke inhalation.
Firefighters were called to the house on Gratton Road just before 8:30 Friday morning.
Investigators say the fire most likely started in the living room, but it's too early to tell what sparked it.
The fire marshal says the house did not have smoke alarms, and he reminds anyone who lives in Henry County or Martinsville to take advantage of free smoke alarms at your local fire department.
