Guardrail replaced after tanker truck crash

A VDOT repair crew replaced a guardrail overnight, that was destroyed on by a tanker truck crash on Route 220 this past Saturday night.

VDOT closed part of Route 220 northbound, just before the Franklin Road exit in Roanoke at 10:00 p.m. Monday night to begin the work. The repair crew finished its work early this morning.

VDOT estimated replacing the guardrail would cost $17,000.
