FAIRFAX, Va. - An Arlington County man has been charged with stashing venomous snakes in a Fairfax motel room. The snakes were discovered when some of them died and a motel employee noticed a foul odor.

Thirty-nine-year-old Peter T. Nguyen is charged with seven misdemeanors.

Nguyen previously ran into problems when he kept his collection of exotic snakes, including many poisonous ones, in his Arlington home. The county passed an ordinance banning such snakes in May and gave Nguyen until July 1 to get them out of the county.
