Franklin Co. man gives Obama walking stick

The presumptive Democratic nominee told Charles Edwards that he'd use the stick to "whoop Congress" if elected, and Congress did not pass his healthcare reform plan

A Franklin County man provided one of the lighter moments at Thursday afternoon's Barack Obama rally in Bristol, Virginia.

95-year-old Charles Edwards gave the Illinois Senator a walking stick made out of maple.

After thanking Edwards, Obama jokingly told him that if elected President, and Congress did not pass his healthcare reform plan, that he would use the walking stick to "whoop 'em."

Obama also asked Edwards what he ate to "look that good."
