Miss Arlington is crowned the new Miss Virginia

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Before Saturday, Tara Wheeler was Miss Arlington. On Sunday, she woke up as Miss Virginia.
On Saturday night, Wheeler was crowned the winner out of 24 ladies.
But there's more to this beauty than meets the eye. She was the starting goalie for Penn State's ice hockey team and also belongs to a military family.
"While I was in college I was an air force cadet, so I've been to boot camp. I did all that stuff before I decided to get into pageants. I'm trying to encourage people to develop all facets of who they are and really define themselves," said Wheeler.
In September, she will be a part of a Miss America reality show; however, a date for the Miss America Pageant has not been set.
