A Wytheville judge charged with driving under the influence gets into more trouble in his car.

Michael Keith Blankenship received a misdemeanor traffic citation in Powhatan County. The 43 year old is accused of failing to report an accident that happened last weekend.

According to State Police, witnesses say Blankenship ran off the road and hit a telephone box. After that, they say he got back on the road and went over an embankment and uprooted a tree. State police have not said whether alcohol was a factor in this crash.

In March, Blankenship was pulled over for driving erratically by State Police on Interstate 81 in Smyth County. He was charged with DWI and for refusing to take a breath test. Blankenship will be in court May 20 on those charges.
