The six people charged in the armed robbery that critically injured a city convenience store clerk in April will also face firearms charges.

Five of the male suspects are juveniles. Those teens are expected to appear in court next week where prosecuting attorney Charles Felmlee has filed notice of his plans to charge them as adults.

Kionne Lyndale Pulley, 20, is the only adult charged in the case. Pulley now faces charges of robbery, aggravated malicious wounding, and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Of the five juveniles charged, all face charges of armed robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a robbery; four face charges of aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a malicious wounding; and three face charges of wearing a mask in public in the commission of a felony.

Felmlee said the three juveniles who face five charges could, if convicted, face a maximum of two life sentences plus another 13 years in prison.

The teens appear in Juvenile and Domestic Relations court in Lynchburg on May 13. Pulley appears in court again on June 30 for his preliminary hearing.

The charges stem from the April 24 robbery of the Citgo service station at 3618 Campbell Ave. The clerk, Abderrahin Elfilali, was found shot in the head by a customer who walked into the store.
