Man indicted on transporting illegal immigrants charges

The U.S. Attorney's Office tells us a federal grandy jury indicted Pedro Mateo. State Police originally arrested Mateo on I-81 in Botetourt County, after finding eleven illegal immigrants in his vehicle.

A Guatemala national has been formally charged in an illegal immigrant smuggling case.

The U.S. Attorney's Office tells us a federal grandy jury indicted Pedro Mateo. State Police originally arrested Mateo back in April on I-81 in Botetourt County, after finding eleven illegal immigrants in his vehicle.
