Considering a food log

»  Comments | Post a Comment

I think I am going to start logging exactly what and how much I eat. I thought about it yesterday after we aired a consumer piece on websites that help you do just that.

Normally I wouldn't worry about taking noted but now I feel like I have to. Adjusting to the morning shift also means adjusting my eating schedule. I have breakfast at 3 a.m., usually a banana and either dry cereal or a granola bar and a glass of orange juice. Lunch is around 9 a.m., either a frozen healthy meal or leftovers from dinner the night before.

The problem comes when I get home. Around 1:30 I am ready for lunch again but I know dinner with the family is coming up at 5:30, if I'm lucky. I am guessing keeping track will help me at least make sure I'm not overeating and tell me where I can adjust calorie wise.

Maybe I just need to start eating six mini meals a day. I just need to not be so hungry all the time now!!
