The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold an information meeting to discuss proposed improvements to the Interstate 77 and Interstate 81 overlap near Wytheville.

The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold an information meeting to discuss proposed improvements to the Interstate 77 and Interstate 81 overlap near Wytheville.

VDOT is conducting a location study to help meet growing travel needs in the area between Exit 72 and Exit 81 in Wythe County.

The team will take input from the public and other sources to develop a range of alternatives.

The citizen information meeting will be held on Thursday, December 4th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fort Chiswell High School.

The citizen meeting will be an open forum.

VDOT representatives will be present to answer questions and explain the project.

Written comments about the project can be submitted until Monday, December 15th.
