Garden City Elementary School teacher is nominated for special gift

"Adopt-a-Classroom" and OfficeMax have selected Kari Garst to receive over $1,000 workth of classroom supplies.
Garst is a reading specialist at Garden City Elementary School.
Representatives with OfficeMax suprised Garst on Wednesday.
She says, "It's very meaningful that people realize teachers do spend money out of their own pocket, that this helps the children."
More than 1200 teachers nationwide were selected to receive essential classroom supplies.
