»  Comments | Post a Comment

We're learning more about the deadly hit and run in Salem, that happened early on Saturday, October 11th.

A search warrant shows Zane Blankenship was walking across the parking lot of the Awful Arthur's restaurant on West Main Street around 2:00 a.m., when police say Blakenship was hit by the Jeep officers say Shaun Scott was driving.

The warrant also says the Jeep jumped a sidewalk and curb, in order to get away from police.

Officers were able to track the Jeep because the front bumper fell off, with the license plates attached, when the Jeep hit a police cruiser.

Scott faces murder as well as hit and run charges. He turned himself into police at a hospital on Sunday, August 12th.
