Bedford County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 2 Roanoke men and one Bedford Co. man and charged them with property damage and stealing catalytic converters from two auto salvage businesses in Bedford County.
On August 29, 2008, Bobby E. Taylor, age 38, 2413 Memorial Avenue, Roanoke, Va. and Gregory D. Brown, age 53, 1508-A Church Avenue, Roanoke, Va. were arrested just after midnight while attempting to steal catalytic converters, from Sydisco Salvage, located on Quarterwood Road in Montvale. Both men were charged with destroying private property, trespassing and attempting to steal a catalytic converter from Sydisco Salvage.
Both Brown and Taylor were also charged with 8 additional charges, 3 counts of stealing catalytic converters, 2 counts of destroying private property and 3 counts of trespassing at Bedford Auto and Salvage, located on Centerville Road in Bedford that occurred between August 1 and August 9, 2008.
On August 30, Darrell Martin, age 62, 1510 Stewartsville Road, Moneta, Va. was arrested and charged with 9 counts of conspiring to commit trespassing or larceny, all of which are related to both the Sydisco and Bedford Auto and Salvage larceny cases.
Both Brown, $3500.00 bond, and Martin, no bond, are being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Bedford.
