Lynchburg Police say man was shot in face

Lynchburg Police are investigating after a man says he was shot in the face.

Officers were called to the 500 block of Chambers Street around 10:00 p.m. Monday for a report of a malicious wounding.

Officers found Michael Avon McMillan, 25, of Evington, outside the Dearington Apartments. He told officers he had been shot in the face. McMillan was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this point.
