Things are usually pretty mild, downright vanilla, at Pop's Ice Cream and Soda Bar.
"I think that's Jerry Springer.", 6 year old Levi Wright announces to his older sister.
No, it can't be. Could it be? Jerry, Jerry!
"How are ya?", says Jerry Springer as he walks into the ice cream shop.
He's keeping the promise he made to The Wright Kids, when they were on America's Got Talent. Springer said he'd come to Roanoke to watch a show.
"Bravo!", exclaims Springer as he jumps out of his seat to applaud their first song.
"They're so sincere.", says Springer. "I just really like em. Who wouldn't like these kids?"
"He said he would come to Pop's someday, but I never really really truly believed him.", says Baruch Wright. Baruch will turn 10 years old on Monday.
"When I figured out he had a private jet I knew someday he would get here.", says Levi.
"If you tell children you're going to do something, you do it.", says Springer.
Everyone else, kept the secret.
"They had like the Cherry Springer float in there", says Sage. "I was like ok."
The new menu item is a clue.
"This is the Cherry Springer Sundae.", says Springer as he's served the treat at the bar.
Springer says this place is just as sweet as they told him it was.
"I'm waiting for Andy Griffith to walk in.", says Springer.
That would be more believable.
