The financially wobbling Shenandoah Life Insurance Company has released a Q&A page on its website for policy holders.
The company has consistently refused requests for comment after the State Corporation Commission took it over on Thursday.
The state insurance commissioner is now on-site at it's main office off Brambleton Avenue, running day-to-day operations.
The hope is the state can get the company stable enough for sale or merger with another insurance company or firm.
The company says on its website it is still paying out all health and life claims.
It says the state has ordered it not to cash in any annuities for fear a run might make the situation worse.
Experts say pulling any policies out of Shenandoah Life would be a poor choice, since it would mean you would not have any insurance coverage.
Many group policies are on contract, meaning it can't be changed for a period of time.
