You can see what the owners of 'Black Dog Salvage' are calling a Heartless crime.
They say these thieves stole two hearts that were hung off of the front of thier building.
The hearts are so bulky they didn't fit in the "getaway" car.
So, if you were in the area the morning after Valentines day -- you might have seen a car driving down the street with huge hearts on it.
"I didn't think any body steal those cause they're big", says co-owner Mike Whiteside.
A total of 3 hearts decorated the building. Two purple, one red. The red one was left behind.
"It's a lonely heart I ought to write a song about it," Whiteside says.
Whiteside says its disheartening that somebody would steal from him during a holiday celebrating love.
Evidently somebody didn't get their girlfriend a valentines day gift and they saw an opportunity, nothing says I love you like a stolen heart, you know."
The owners are lighthearted about this, but all joking aside, even though everything here at Black Dog Salvage is negotiable, the owners say stealing from them is not.
They say they aren't heartbroken over it, but still want to see the thieves caught.
"I'm a firm believer in karma so probably that girl dumped him after that," says Whiteside.
The owner says the hearts were once on display at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York city.
So, it's hard to put a value on the hearts - but they were on sale for 125 dollars each.
The owners say they don't care about the money, they just hope the thieves have the heart to return them.

A crime of the heart, caught on camera.
A surveillance camera caught two thieves stealing two giant, purple hearts from Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke early in the morning this past Sunday.
The thieves could not fit them both in the getaway car, so one drove away with a giant heart on the roof of the car.
Now, only one giant lonely, red heart remains.
The owners of Black Dog Salvage say they aren't broken hearted about the theft.
The hearts were from Saks 5th Avenue in New York City. Black Dog Salvage had them for about a year. They were up for sale.
