Read the court records

Court records on file at U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Roanoke show Alfred Dowe is nine months behind on his house payment.

The mortgage company, affiliated with Citi Bank, filed paperwork Friday morning letting the court know it was okay with delaying foreclosure on Dowe's home until a February 9 hearing.

The court records showed the mortgage company does intend to ask a judge to go ahead and foreclose on the home.

The records show Dowe is about $20,000 behind in monthly mortgage payments.

It claims he still owes a little over $176,000 in principle.

WSLS 10 On Your Side will have more on this story Friday night at 6 PM.
