Investigators in Giles County help police in West Virginia track down a bank robbery suspect.

The Giles County Sheriff's Office says Joseph Northington was wanted for robbing a bank in North Augusta, South Carolina.

They received information that Northington had contacted someone in Pembroke, which led them to the Comfort Inn Motel in Princeton, West Virginia where the suspect had been staying.

When police got there they saw Northington leave the hotel with a woman, who they later learned was his mother.

According to her, she was taking her son to turn himself in.
