Tips sought in Lynchburg construction theft

A theft at a new construction site in Lynchburg has police searching for a suspect or suspects who stole two heat pumps and an air handler.

The theft happened June 24 at the construction site at 211 Two Creek Drive in the Wiggington Road area, police said. The site is owned by D.S. Zechini Construction.

Police estimated the items have a combined value of $10,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective R.W. Moore with the Lynchburg Police Department at 455-6172 or Central Virginia Crime Stoppers at (888) 798-5900.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
