Former Virginia Tech football player arrested

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A former Virginia Tech running back has been arrested, and charged in Montgomery County.

Court records show Jahre Cheeseman faces misdemeanor assault, petit larceny, and obstruction of justice charges, and that he was arraigned Tuesday morning.

Cheeseman played for the Hokies up until last season, announcing his intention to transfer from Tech. Cheeseman broke his fibula late last spring, causing depth concerns at tailback, but eventually helping elevate Darren Evans, who had a breakout season in 2008-2009.
