Danville Police charged a man for crashing his pick-up truck in the Dan River.
A Danville officer on patrol, found a guardrail damaged around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, near the intersection of Memorial Drive and Primrose Lane. The officer then saw the truck in the river.
Rescue crews took James Jefferies to Danville Regional Medical Center, where doctors treated Jefferies for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers charged Jefferies with Driving While Intoxicated.
