State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man from Henry late Friday night.

Sgt. Bob Carpentieri says 26-year-old William Lloyd Thompson was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro northbound on Route 220, about 1/2 a mile north of Route 987, around 11:50 p.m.

Carpentieri said Thompson ran off of the left side of the road, and flipped his car several times. The car landed in the median, while investigators say Thompson was thrown from the car and killed.

Troopers believe Thompson was not wearing his seatbelt.

The crash is still under investigation.
