Gas prices keep falling

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Good news for drivers, gas prices are falling.

According AAA, the average gas price in Roanoke is $2.21. That's down from $3.91 last year at this time.

These are impressive prices for people traveling through our area.

Gas prices in Virginia are below the national average, which is $2.47.

We talked to one man who says gas prices back home in North Carolina are around $2.50 a gallon.

"Being from Durham, North Carolina, I notice a big difference in the price. It's a lot lower here. Maybe I ought to fill up several times before I leave," said Rodney Robinson.

AAA says some analysts suggest some oil producers may slow or stop production if the price of oil falls too quickly this summer.
