Galax Police investigate multiple nursing home abuse allegations
Galax Police Chief Rick Clark says the alleged abuse happened at Waddell Nursing & Rehab Center
In this 10 On Your Side crime tracker, the Galax Police Department and Galax Department of Social Services are investigating multiple allegations of abuse at the Waddell Nursing & Rehab Center.
Chief Rick Clark won't release much information, but says arrests will be made soon.
We spoke with Jim Wooddell, the nursing home administrator, who says no residents were actually physically abused, but admits he has evidence their rights were violated.
He says two employees have been terminated.
Wooddell also tells WSLS the nursing home has 155 employees who are committed and dedicated to providing excellent care.
