Bedford city council discussing school resource officer positions

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Bedford City Council met in a work session Wednesday afternoon, to talk about whether to keep school resource officers in two schools.

The police chief says his manpower has been cut by three officers over the last three years. He expects to lose another position.

The department may have to take the officers out of Bedford Middle and Bedford Elementary to cover patrol shifts.

The city manager says council asked him for options that would keep the officers in the schools.
