Bicycles 4 Bulldogs

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Some lucky students at Lucy Addison Middle School were rewarded with brand new bikes Tuesday afternoon. Its all part of an incentive to help motivate kids to earn perfect attendance during the spring called Bicycles 4 Bulldogs. 30 bicycles were raffled off all together. Several donations were received by Addison staff, community leaders and businesses in the area. This is the third year of the program and Joy Hairston with Addison Middle tells 10 on your side they were able to come up with 9 more bikes than last year's total. In order to become eligible for the bicycle raffle students had to maintain a 94% attendance rating. Hairston tells us about 300 students names were entered into the drawing.
