State Police are investigating a crash that killed a 14-day-old infant in Botetourt Co. that happened Monday night.
State Police say 18-year-old Denna Blankenship of Buchanan was driving a Subaru Forestor on Route 11 in Troutville when she lost control of the car and crashed around 7 p.m.
Investigators say Denna, her twin sister Dana, a 10-month old baby, and the 14-day-old infant were all taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
They say, the infant, Abbagayle Blankenship died a short time later.
The 10-month old has been released from the hospital, but investigators say both Denna and Dana Blankenship remain hospitalized.
The crash remains under investigation.
