Students walk "Laps for Love" for a sick teacher

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Some local students walked "Laps for Love" Friday for a teacher who is battling breast cancer. Susan Kern is currently going through chemo treatments. Kern teaches first grade at Back Creek Elementary School in Roanoke County. Since she has been diagnosed with cancer, students and faculty at the school have been collecting donations to help her with medical costs. Students have also been wearing pink bracelets to show how much they care for Mrs. Kern.
If you want to help, a fund has been set up in Susan Kern's name at the Roanoke County Employee Credit Union, and Back Creek Elementary is also taking donations.
