ST. LOUIS (AP) - Authorities say a 3-year-old boy has been found alive, three miles from the rural Missouri home he wandered away from more than two days ago.
Madison County Sheriff David Lewis says Joshua Childers was found Wednesday in the rugged Mark Twain National Forest about 50 hours after his disappearance. His condition was not immediately known, but he was taken to a hospital.
The circumstances of his recovery were not immediately disclosed.
Joshua wandered away about 11:30 a.m. Monday from his home near Arcadia, a small town near the border of Madison and Iron counties, about 100 miles southwest of St. Louis.
Police were called 45 minutes later.
