Today's gloomy weather didn't dampen the spirits of those working on a special project in memory of Ryan "Stack" Clark.
The Virginia Tech student was tragically killed two years ago in the April 16th shootings.
Clark was a member of the Marching Virginians.
Today, his former band mates teamed up with the town of Blacksburg and Community Housing Partners to build a home in his honor.
It will be a part of the town's low to moderate income housing program.
The Marching Virginians raised more than $41,000 for the project.
"I knew him very well and so it was a big loss to us and so to come out here and do this for him is a big deal," said Marching Virginians member Alex Nette.
A special dedication ceremony will be held on June 20th with Ryan's family in attendance.
