Two local students are marching their way to Texas for the All-American bowl.

Michael Kerr and Dylan Barber, both seniors in the Jefferson Forest High School marching band, have both been selected for the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.

Kerr plays trumpet. Barber is a percussionist.

There were one thousand applicants and Kerr and Barber had to audition to earn one of the band's ninety-eight spots.

The pair will perform during halftime of the All-American Bowl in January in San Antonio.
