A building that has a lot of history in the town of Blacksburg is the Blacksburg Motor Company.
The building was constructed in 1924 by two Heavener brothers in the 400 block of South Main Street.
It is notable for both its architectural significance and its connection to the history of the automobile in Blacksburg.
The building recently underwent a "green" renovation, while at the same time keeping its historic feel.
"The staff is very excited about the building," said Building Official Cathy Cook. "It's more space for us to do our jobs."
The motor company is the new home to the town of Blacksburg's planning and building, engineering and GIS departments.
