Octavia Johnson wins re-election as Roanoke Sheriff

Roanoke City Sheriff Octavia Johnson has won re-election, in a very close race.

Johnson's margin of victory was 141 votes, with 8,398 votes total cast for the Republican, 42.42% of votes cast in the Sheriff's race.

Democratic candidate Frank Garrett III had 8,257 votes cast for him, 41.71% of votes cast in the Sheriff's race.

Independent Brian Keenum received 3,125 votes, 15.78% of the total votes cast in the Sheriff's race.
