RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia behavioral health officials have posted statewide accountability information on the Internet.
The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services said Tuesday that the data is part of a multi-year project to measure performance of publicly funded programs.
The health system includes 16 department-operated mental health hospitals and intellectual disability training centers and 40 locally-run community services boards.
Information provided includes the number of individuals served, demographics and readmittance rates.
Officials say the next step is to include regional and local data.
