Hundreds of volunteers are wrapping up after three days of searching for missing Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington, only to find nothing.
People from all over Virginia searched some of the more rugged areas in Charolottesville, hoping to find clues or evidence that could help lead to Harrington.
The ground search started Friday and was coordinated by the "Laura Recovery Center" a Texas-based organization that works with the families of missing people.
The group's leaders will leave Charlottesville Sunday, but say the volunteers will keep searching for Morgan.
"When we leave here today there will be a core group of volunteers that know how to run a community search and should we not find anything today, they will be able to continue this effort in the future."
Over the last 72 hours, more than a thousand volunteers have worked in teams with professional search and rescue squads, but so far no leads on the whereabouts of Harrington.
