Man trying to cross I-581, hit by four vehicles

State Police say 62-year-old Bobby Braxton of Amherst was trying to cross south of Route 117 around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

State Police are investigating after a man was killed, trying to cross Interstate 581 Sunday night.

The trooper told WSLS that 62-year-old Bobby Braxton of Amherst was trying to cross south of Peters Creek Road, around 6:30 p.m.

State Police say four vehicles hit him, including a tractor trailer, an SUV, a van, and a pick-up truck.

Braxton was pronounced dead at the scene.
