The Fries Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue pulled a man from his car, after he crashed 40-feet down a steep ditch Tuesday morning.

State Police tell us 65-year-old Warren Tate ran off the edge of Byllesby Road, and landed in a ditch. Firefighters estimates the ditch where Tate landed is 40-feet below the road.

Rescue crews had to pull Tate from the car, and take him to a hospital. Luckily he is not seriously hurt.

State Police are trying to figure out why Tate drove off the side of the road.
