The Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank received a major donation from Wal-Mart on Thursday.
The foundation for the world's largest retailer donated an $85,000 refrigeration truck, along with 12 pallets of food and apples to the Food Bank.
The gifts are a part of the "Wal-Mart gives back" campaign.
The Food Bank's president said it's a great way to help those in need.
The Food Bank says there has been a 30% increase in emergency food requests for food assistance since July 2008, likely due to the economic downturn.
