Kroger sent big help to the Southwestern Virginia 2nd Harvest Food Bank on Tuesday.

The grocery giant donated about 100,000 pounds of food and water, along with a check for $23,000. The money was raised during Kroger's "Bringing Hope to the Table" campaign that ran throughout its stores during the summer.

The Food Bank says the donations equal about 72,000 meals for the hungry.
