Lane closures will remain in effect along US 58 near Lawson’s Creek in Halifax County.
The outside (travel) lane and shoulder of US 58 East from Route 931 (Industrial Park Road) to Route 704 (Cluster Springs Road) was closed yesterday for repairs to the roadway slope.
In order to facilitate repairs and to maintain a safe working environment for crews, both lanes of US 58 East have been closed at that location today and both east and westbound traffic have been using US 58 West. Motorists will again be able to use one lane of US 58 East during the overnight and early morning hours of Saturday. However, traffic will, again, be switched to US 58 West as repair efforts continue.
VDOT is taking every precaution to alert motorists to the changes in traffic pattern.
